Trans Luchadors is a digital series about trans athletes and their relationships with their bodies and the places they call home. Trans Lifter and Trans Guardian were created for a three-person art exhibition in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2022.
 
Trans Lifter is a transgender Mexican immigrant athlete standing before El Zocalo in Mexico City. This trans masculine individual has not undergone surgery, highlighting that trans people do not need surgery to identify as trans. They are anchored in their hometown to represent their origins and connection to their ancestors.
