A collection of digital prints featuring trans and queer refugee immigrants. This series was exhibited during a solo show in 2020 at the Homewise building as part of Albuquerque’s First Friday Artwalk.
 
Sky Ancestor symbolizes a trans-refugee migrant connected to the Aztec god Xolotl, the sky, and the moon. Xolotl is the god of fire and lightning. I created this image to honor the ancestors who journeyed and fought for the liberation of transgender people around the globe.
