Trans Luchadors is a digital series about trans athletes and their relationships with their bodies and the places they call home. The Trans Bear was made in 2023 for the Son de Alla, Son de Aca traveling exhibit in San Diego, California.
 
El Trans Bear is a trans nonbinary individual who has undergone areola excision surgery. This top surgery removes excess chest tissue and nipples, resulting in a flat appearance. Many nonbinary and gender-expansive individuals seek this procedure to alleviate dysphoria. This individual is connected to the water and mountain environments and draws inspiration from the LGBTQ bear community, which celebrates hairier, heavier-set gay, bisexual, or pansexual men and masculine people.
